HP Daycare employee arraigned in the case of an infant’s death last fall.

Tanya Choy of Martinsville was arraigned in state Superior Court in Middlesex County. Ms. Choy formerly worked for Above and Beyond Child Care Center on South Third Avenue in Highland Park. No cause of death was ever found for the infant, a phenomenon known in the medical field as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome that in New Jersey affects one baby in every 2,800 live births. READ MORE

Planning board says no to adoption of FAR zoning ordinance

The Highland Park Planning Board at its Thursday July 9, 2015 meeting voted unanimously to recommend that the Highland Park Borough Council should just say ‘no’ to the adoption of the FAR Zoning Ordinance 15-1890 at this time. Several members of the public argued passionately against adoption of the ordinance in its current form. READ MORE

High speed police chase leads to drug arrest in quiet residential neighborhood

A high speed police chase and subsequent arrest of a Highland Park resident on drug and weapons charges took place in the residential neighborhood of Valentine Street/Benner Street/Felton Avenue on Thursday night, June 25, 2015. A Highland Park resident was caught and charged on multiple counts related to drug possession with intent to sell and unlawful possession of weapon. READ MORE

HP Memorial Service for Charleston victims attracts 300 people
