HP Board of Ed Appeals Hatikvah Charter School Expansion

On May 1, 2015, the Highland Park Board of Education filed a formal legal challenge to the N.J. Commissioner of Education’s approval of the expansion of Hatikvah Charter School in East Brunswick. The board is specifically challenging the tuition requirement mandating the Highland Park School District to pay tuition for the Highland Park students enrolled in the charter school.

Princz’s Perspective: Community was the big winner in “Run in the Park 5k”

The Highland Park “Run in the Park” on May 3rd featured the 7th annual 5k race, plus a “Super Heroes Race” for the youngest athletes. Every day is the right day to honor the community’s volunteers

The Municipal Volunteer of the Year Award went to Rabbi Eliezer Kaminetzky, who has served as the Borough’s chaplain for more than 20 years.
