A familiar medical supply business has reemerged with a new look but the same commitment to service and excellent pricing. Jeff Ackerman has opened a home medical equipment store “Ackerman Healthcare Supply,” located directly across from Stop& Shop at 425 Raritan Ave. Mr. Ackerman used to own Jeff’s Surgical Supply and Ackerman Medical Supply. Now drawing on over 30 years of experience in the medical supply business, Mr. Ackerman has opened a retail store selling: wheelchairs, seat lift chairs, bathroom safety items, orthopedic supports, scooters, compression stockings, incontinence items, dressings, walkers, cervical pillows, nebulizers, and stethoscopes.
“ I opened a new store to provide the service that you no longer receive when working with distant locations, internet sales, and insurance providers. I will not directly accept Medicare or insurance; this allows me to drastically reduce costs. My pricing will be the lowest around,” Mr. Ackerman said.
