Rite Aid, essentially asking for forgiveness rather than permission, won that forgiveness on Nov 12, 2015 when the HP Planning Board granted the Raritan Avenue Rite Aid relief from the conditions of its 2007 site plan approval. After acknowledging that its recent renovations and implementation of 24-hour-per-day service were in violation of its site plan approval, Rite Aid asked the planners and won relief based on its arguments that its service to the community justified the changes in its original approvals. HP Police Dept. has major role in ending bad check-cashing scheme

Sixteen individuals have been arrested and charged with taking part in a scheme to pass bad checks in four counties and collect more than $100,000 from local banks and check-cashing businesses, according to a Nov. 18 announcement from Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C.
