Halloween on the Avenue

Ready for a spooky Halloween in downtown Highland Park? Main Street Highland Park has a fun afternoon and evening planned for all of Highland Park’s ghouls, ghosts, and goblins:

• TRICK OR TREATING FOR KIDS at Raritan Avenue businesses and at Highland Park’s Friday Farmers Market: 3:00 – 6:00 pm
• LIVE MUSIC from “BRUCE FRANKENSTEEN & THE FUN GHOULS!” Jersey Boy Dennis MC DoNoUgh! of the band JUNG WOMBATS! will be “out on the street” performing his imitable “Songs From The Far Side” in a special Halloween show in front of the Farmers Market and Main Street Highland Park offices at 212 Raritan Avenue: 2:30 – 5:30 pm.
• FREE OUTDOOR CHILDREN’S MOVIE (The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown) in Highland Park Outdoor Movie Theater (in the lot next to the Main Street office at 212 Raritan Avenue): 5:30 pm
• FREE DANCE PERFORMANCE of a portion of Lustig Dance Theatre’s Luna Mexicana. This dance celebrates the Mexican holiday, El Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with colorful costumes, vibrant music and festive dancing. Performance will be on Raritan Avenue at the intersection of North 4th. 6:30 pm
• FREE OUTDOOR SCARY ADULT MOVIE (John Carpenter’s Halloween) in Highland Park Outdoor Movie Theater (in the lot next to the Main Street office at 212 Raritan Avenue): 7:00 pm
