Main Street Highland Park Offers a Halloween Week that will be a treat for everyone – while avoiding all mischief from COVID-19.

MASKS ARE A MUST!

And we aren’t just talking about Halloween costume masks – you have to have a cloth or medical mask covering both your mouth and nose even if you are also wearing a costume mask. Keep your neighbors safe!

STAY OUTDOORS AND SIX FEET APART AT ALL TIMES!

Please do not go door-to-door inside businesses; help keep our business owners safe. Going inside is not safe. Some businesses will have treats on tables outside their doors, however, so walk around town and check!

There will be a number of outdoors & contact-free trick-or treat locations on Saturday, October 31,along Raritan Avenue so be sure to stroll up and down the Avenue to find them!

THE LEGEND OF HIGHLAND MARSH: A SOCIALLY DISTANCED HAUNT

The Legend of Highland Marsh is a free, independent walking tour, to be done at your own pace any time between 6:30 and 10:30 PM, Mon. Oct 26 thru Sat. Oct 31. There are five elaborate, sequential displays (or chapters) staged on Main Street, beginning at Bergen Auto (101 Raritan) and ending at the Main Street Pavilion (212 Raritan). At each display, created by Highland Park’s own Alex Dawson and movie FX man Dan Diana, who built the battered Iron Man helmet in Avengers Endgame (I kid you not), you will obtain another virtual section (video/audio/text/pictures)of the overarching story. Learn the legend and hear the tale from the mouth of Marsh himself. Suitable for ages 8 and up (if your kid can handle the saw toothed mermaids in Harry Potter, they can handle this).
