First, it was the Christmas tree lighting, replete with a visit from Santa on a hook and ladder courtesy of the Highland Park Volunteer Fire Department. Then, it was doughnuts from Mordy’s and Dunkin’ Donuts for the annual menorah lighting. Now, Highland Park is keeping the holiday spirit alive as it gets ready for its annual holiday dinner at the Community Center and Kwanzaa celebration at Kinetics.
On Christmas Day, the Borough will hold its holiday dinner at the Community Center, 220 South Sixth Ave., from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to all Highland Park residents.
Then, on December 26, 2018, Kinetics will host its annual Kwanzaa celebration where attendees will learn about the celebration of Kwanzaa while being treated to a dance performance and light refreshments.
The Kwanzaa celebration will take place from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Kinetics, 409 Raritan Ave.
