Arts in the Park on Sept. 25 seeks artists, vendors, and sponsors 

Main Street Highland Park is seeking artists, vendors, and sponsors for the 12th annual Arts in the Park street festival, juried art show, and arts and crafts sale on Sunday, Sept. 25, 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Highland Park is a small community that delivers a powerful arts punch, fueled each year by one of New Jersey’s most spectacular arts festivals on Raritan Avenue in the central business district Particularly renowned because of the juried art show that attracts quality arts and crafts, Arts in the Park also features live music and other entertainment, food from local restaurants, children’s activities, promotional booths, and more.

According to Rebecca Hersh, the executive director of Main Street Highland Park which organizes the entire event, a team of arts aficionados and professionals judge the art and crafts submissions in eight categories:  Painting; Sculpture; Photography; Crafts; Jewelry; Graphics/Drawing/Printmaking; Mixed Media; and Textiles/Quilts/Needlework; cash awards go to the winners.

The Princeton Ballet School Fall 2016 Session begins September 10

The Princeton Ballet School of the internationally acclaimed American Repertory Ballet announced that it is time to sign up for the Fall 2016 ballet classes. Placement auditions are about to begin, so anyone interested should get moving!
