Chamber on June 9 hosts mayors for discussion on economy

This four-part series, a signature initiative of the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce, offers the opportunity to network with key community and business leaders.

The Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce will continue its “Meet the Mayors” economic development forum Tuesday, June 9, allowing attendees to hear from Middlesex County mayors as they share economic development insights for established businesses, as well as for businesses looking to come to Middlesex County.

The event will take place Tuesday, June 9, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., Rutgers Visitor Center, 100 Sutphen Rd, Piscataway, NJ.

Confirmed mayors are Tom Valhalla of Metuchen, Ronald Dobies of Middlesex, and Brian Wahler of Piscataway. Discussion topics include transportation, volunteerism, and creating partnerships.

“Middlesex County’s 25 towns each carry their own appeal as far as what is attractive to current and prospective businesses,” said Lina Llona, President, Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce. “This series is intended to provide insights on what it takes to be economically viable from Perth Amboy to Highland Park, as well as to explore our commonalities as we bolster Central Jersey’s stance as a critical economic corridor in our state.”

New Jersey radio veteran Bert Baron of WCTC/1450 AM will lead a media panel to moderate the discussion.
