On February 3 the Highland Park School District issued a public letter to the Highland Park community asking people to sign a petition opposing the expansion of the Hatikvah International Academy Charter School in East Brunswick. Taking a similar position to that of Highland Park Borough Council (See story: East Brunswick Charter School Expansion is a Minus for HP School Budget), the School Board is concerned that the expansion of Hatikvah will draw resources away from the Highland Park schools and will have a negative impact on the District and students.
