More than 250 residents on the evening of Nov. 29 participated in the joyful launch of the holiday season at the municipal lot next to the Main Street Highland Park office on Raritan Avenue for the annual tree lighting, complete with live music from Amandala and Kind Strangers, caroling, hot chocolate, candy canes, and Santa! It marked the conclusion to Small Business Saturday and the launch of what retailers hope will be a few busy weeks of holiday sales.
