A fire in a two-family residence last week is under investigation by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, The Planet has learned.
The fire struck a home at 115 S. First Ave. around 5 p.m. Nov. 12. No one was reported injured in the fire, but the Shahidi family, who lived there, has been unable to stay there since.
Michael Gallagher, the Middlesex County fire marshal, investigated the scene the night of the fire. On Monday, he declined to comment on the investigation, and referred all calls to the prosecutor’s office.
A spokesman for the prosecutor’s office did not return a phone call seeking comment.
