Rite Aid wins relief from HP Planning Board – windows to remain obstructed

Rite Aid, essentially asking for forgiveness rather than permission, won that forgiveness on Nov 12, 2015 when the HP Planning Board granted the Raritan Avenue Rite Aid relief from the conditions of its 2007 site plan approval. After acknowledging that its recent renovations and implementation of 24-hour-per-day service were in violation of its site plan approval, Rite Aid asked the planners and won relief based on its arguments that its service to the community justified the changes in its original approvals. Redevelopment Agency develops its plans for moving Highland Park forward in 2015

The Highland Park Redevelopment Agency began the year at its first meeting of 2015 by not only reorganizing but also by renewing its commitment to lead the community towards responsible redevelopment. The agency chair Rosie Baruh announced the agency’s desire to revise the Redevelopment Plan – specific recommendations to come at the next meeting. In addition, the commissioners heard presentations from developers about their vision of mixed-use development in Highland Park. READ MORE
